Blend Air started in 1996 when Joe Larkin and his partners  saw a unique opportunity to buy a former manufacturing facility for rebuilding compressors. Applying his prior 20 years of experience in the Automotive A/C business, Joe refocused business on an unfilled niche in the Automotive Air Conditioner industry.
Within a few years, the company purchased "Auto Air Discount" from a long time industry associate. Later BlendAir acquired Beasly A/C of Dallas.

Over the years the business expanded to include a broad inventory of import and domestic compressors. BlendAir added manufacturing processes for new new compressors and for remanufactured compressors. The business has grown from two employees to 12 with expectation to grow even more. In 2004 Blend Air expanded again to newer and larger facilities with more room for inventory, compressor rebuilding, service shops, and  new office space. BlendAir has gained a preferred status with many local auto repair shops, dealers and fleet accounts
Joe said "With this new facility we can do a better job for our service shops and customers and add position our business for future services like installation of Alternate Power Units for  Truckers"

Mat Larkin, Joe's son,  became president and chief operating officer of BlendAir in 2007 as business continued to expand. Joe continues as Chief Technical Officer. Long-time industry associate, Ray Rutledge joined BlendAir in 2007 to add and broaden our technical expertise and customer support.
